COVID and Employment

On March 13, 2020, President Donald Trump declared a national emergency in the US in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic. ITSQuest, Inc. and commonly owned companies are monitoring developments and implementing all possible steps to help contain the spread of the virus in the best interests of employees and clients.

What can you do to stay safe?

Report symptoms of flu immediately. Symptoms mainly include fever, fatigue, and respiratory problems.

  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Wear a mask when not at home.
  • Disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
  • Sneeze or cough into your elbow.
  • Avoid other people who have flu symptoms.

What should you do if you believe you or a co-worker has been exposed to the virus?

Report the exposure to the corporate nurse or your local office immediately. The phone number for the corporate nurse is 806-785-9100 or email at communication@itsquest.com. ITSQuest, Inc. and commonly owned companies will not require employees to seek treatment  because some employees have sincerely held religious beliefs that prevent them from getting certain medical treatment however, we will try to help you navigate through the work and health issues arising from the exposure.

What if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have symptoms?

Report the symptoms or test results immediately. You will be sent home and asked to self-quarantine for at least 14 days. We will work with you to monitor your progress and determine when returning to work would be sensible. The first priority will be your health and safety and containing the spread of the virus.

If any documentation or test confirmations are needed, you will be asked by the corporate nurse. Also, be assured your medical information will be kept with secure medical information.

What about returning to work after quarantine or illness?

You will be asked to certify that you have been COVID-19 symptom-free for at least fourteen days and in some instances, a medical certification will be required to return to work.

What if I need to take time off to care for family members who have come down with COVID-19 or related symptoms?

Ask your corporate nurse or call your local ITSQuest, Inc. branch.
